Get paid to play VR games
Yes, you can earn from your VR skills. Humanoids, home robots and lab arms are learning to use their hands, and they learn from people moving naturally in VR: picking up, folding, tidying and placing things. On Metagaming, VR players record hand tasks in lab sims, and at Expert rank control real robot arms live. Paid per task, from $1.

Why it's worth something
Your hands train robot hands
Folding a towel is easy for you and very hard for a robot. VR captures exactly what robots are missing: where your hands go, how they turn and how gently they grip, all in three dimensions. That's why VR is one of the most direct ways to teach a robot hand.
VR builds two skill tracks. Steady hands is smooth, precise control without overshoot. Timing is moving at the right moment, the way a walking robot has to plant each foot. Prove both in the free steady hand test and timing test.
At Expert rank, VR teleop missions let you drive a real robot arm live, which is the highest-skill VR work there is.

This list shows the genre, not which games missions use. VR missions run in our own lab simulations, so you don't record inside these games.
You need a VR headset with tracked controllers or hand tracking. Each mission lists the setup it needs before you accept it, so tell us yours when you sign up.

FAQ
VR game questions
Can you get paid to play VR games?
Yes, for specific VR missions. Humanoid and home robot teams need examples of people using their hands: picking up, folding, tidying and placing things. VR players record those hand tasks in lab sims, paid per task. There's no pay for idle play.
What VR headset do I need?
A headset with tracked controllers or hand tracking. Each mission lists the setup it needs before you accept it, so tell us yours when you sign up.
Is VR teleop real?
Yes. At Expert rank, some missions let trainers control a real robot arm live through VR. It's the highest-skill VR work, and it opens once you've proven steady hands and consistent quality.
What rank do I need?
You can start as a Rookie with the skill arenas. VR Record missions open at Pro, judging robot attempts at Elite, and live VR teleop at Expert.
